Fast Food - Who's to Blame? by Robby Ching

“Fast Food—Who’s to Blame?” is based on four newspaper articles and a set of letters to the editor written in response to one set of the articles about the issue of fast food and its role in contributing to childhood obesity. As the first assignment in the Expository Reading and Writing Course curriculum, it serves as an introduction to the approach to teaching expository reading and writing utilizing accessible readings and an engaging topic.

The documents that follow include PDFs of the module's table of contents, teacher version, student version, and sample student essays. Word files of the student version and sample student essays are included, so the materials may be easily adapted for classroom use. The chapter from A Text-Based Grammar for Expository Reading and Writing that accompanies this module is also included in both formats under Related Files. In Word the answer key is included as a separate document.
