Bio:

Jennifer began her teaching career at East High in Fortuna by setting up a special education program for the continuation high school in 1980. From there, she moved to Siskiyou County and spent the next 20 years as a special education teacher for Yreka High, Siskiyou County Office of Education and finally 17 years at Etna High. At that point, she became interested in school administration, and returned to college for a MA in Educational Leadership and an Admin Credential.   Jennifer served as Special Ed Director and Area Director for Mattole for 3 years and decided to see if she could apply her skills in a larger school district.  She moved to Santa Maria Joint Union High School District, a district of 8,000 students, for two years as Special Ed Director, but Northern California beckoned her back, and she returned to Mattole in her current position in the Fall of 2007.
