Bio:

I was born in Manhattan and grew up in Westchester County, New York.  I always loved traveling and dancing.  I majored in Art in college and went to Carnegie Tech (now Carnegie-Mellon U.) in Pittsburgh and then at UCLA where I was in graduate school for painting.   After a few years, I went back to school and took educational courses.  When the counter culture evolved I followed the call to the basic values and the country. I moved to Santa Cruz, where I lived for 18 years.  My husband and I had 3 children and when Santa Cruz got too crowded we moved to Humboldt County.  For me, this is one of the best places in the U. S.  Students have the opportunity to respect the earth and all beings that share the planet.  They can experience nature and technology working together as sustainable methods are developed.  They are encouraged to explore healthy ways of life and with homeschooling, have time to reflect on their individual paths and decisions.
