Bio:
Lisa Ambrosini was born and raised in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. While growing up on 124 acres, Lisa and her family enjoyed raising animals, gardening and traveling.
Lisa went to college at the University of California, San Diego, and double majored in Environmental Systems and Psychology. During this time, she was involved with several clubs on campus, including CalPIRG and the Associated Student's Women's Commission. After completing her undergraduate work, Lisa attended the teaching credential program at Humboldt State University where she received her secondary credentials in math and science as well as her multiple subject teaching credential.
During the four years Lisa has lived in Trinity County, she has worked in the Klamath-Trinity Joint Unified School District as well as the Burnt Ranch School District. She has also done a variety of work in the Willow Creek community.
Lisa enjoys organic gardening, creating jewelry and pottery, making clothing, crocheting, yoga, and hiking. She and her husband are working to create a sustainable home for themselves in the Humboldt-Trinity county area.
This year Lisa is starting an independent study group, the Creekside Learning Cooperative, in Willow Creek.
