Bio:

Cathie has been an Independent Study Education Specialist for Mattole Valley Charter School since 2003 working with families from Garberville to Trinidad.  Prior to that, she taught a 4th-6th grade combination class for 6 years at Leggett School in Mendocino County.  She absolutely loves teaching, matching families up with great curriculum, inspiring classes and other community activities, and continually learning more herself.  She is currently immersed in Montessori education, receiving training so that she can put those principles into practice at all grade levels.
     She is happily married to a wonderful man.  She has three beautiful children.  She feels blessed to have a great life.
